SINGAPORE (ICIS)--France’s Air Liquide said on Friday it has signed a long-term agreement with KGHM Polska Miedz to supply industrial gases to the Polish copper maker’s production site at Glogow in Poland.

As part of the agreement, Air Liquide will invest more than €70m ($91m) in an air separation unit (ASU) with a production capacity of 1,500 tonnes of oxygen per day, the company said in a statement.

The new ASU, to be designed and manufactured by Air Liquide teams based in Poland and France, will be commissioned in early 2015, the French company said.

KGHM Polska Miedz is the tenth-largest producer of copper in the world, it said.
