SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sinopec Jinling completed its refinery upgrade project at Nanjing in Jiangsu province on 25 September, parent company Sinopec said in a statement on Wednesday.

The upgrade includes a new 8m tonne/year crude distillation unit (CDU), a 3.5m tonne/year fluid catalytic cracker (FCC), a 500,000 tonne/year gas separation unit and other units, according to the statement.

The CDU was commissioned in April, while the FCC and gas separation units are scheduled to start up on 3-5 October.

The upgrade increases Sinopec Jinling’s refinery capacity to 18m tonne/year, from 13.5m tonne/year previously, and will improve the quality of its gasoline and diesel output, the statement said.
