Explosion hits Canada’s largest refinery in New Brunswick – report

TORONTO (ICIS)--Canada’s largest refinery, Irving Oil’s 300,000 bbl/day plant at Saint John in New Brunswick province, was hit by a small explosion on Wednesday morning, Canadian state media reported.

The explosion injured at least one person, CBC said, citing a police official.

Irving Oil media officals could not immediately be reached for comment.

The refinery supplies markets in eastern Canada and the northeast US.
