Japan’s JX Nippon Oil to shut Negishi refinery crude units in Oct

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy plans to shut two crude distillation units (CDU) at its 270,000 bbl/day Negishi refinery in October for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

It will shut down the 150,000 bbl/day CDU No 4 at the refinery on 6 October-5 November, and the 120,000 bbl/day CDU No 1 on 22 October-16 November, the source said.

During the Negishi shutdown, oil product requirements from customers will be met by other JX Energy refineries.

JX Nippon Oil operates eight refineries in Japan with a total capacity of 1.61m bbl/day, The total includes the 115,000 bbl/day Osaka refinery, which is operated as a joint venture with PetroChina.
