LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Tuesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.
CRUDE: November WTI: $89.85/bbl, up 52 cents/bbl. November BRENT: $112.50/bbl, up 68 cents/bbl
Crude prices remained firm on the back of heightened Middle East tensions between Syria and Turkey.
NAPHTHA: $967-970/tonne, down $4/tonne
The cargo range slipped from Monday afternoon as the effects of a weaker crack spread overrode those of firmer crude oil prices. November swaps were assessed at $940-942/tonne.
BENZENE: $1,280-1,300/tonne, up $20/tonne
The market edged back up as crude recovered earlier losses. Higher numbers in Asia and the US also supported the gains.
STYRENE: $1,600-1,630/tonne, up $30/tonne
Stronger benzene numbers and balanced supply saw October prices move up this morning.
