China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao to shut phenol/acetone unit

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao plans to shut its 200,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone unit on 15 October for planned maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant, which is located at Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park in Caojing, will be off line for about 20 days, the source added.

Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao has another two phenol/acetone units with a total capacity of 160,000 tonnes/year at Pudong in Shanghai, which are operating at full capacity, according to the source.
