HOUSTON (ICIS)--CITGO shut down a platformer unit at its Corpus Christi refinery in Texas as a result of a fire, the company said on Wednesday.
The company was investigating the cause of the fire, which occurred on the evening of 9 October.
"CITGO emergency response crews were immediately on the scene to contain and extinguish the fire," the company said. "There were no injuries and there was no action required by the surrounding community."
CITGO did not say if production would be affected.
The Corpus Christi refinery has a capacity of 163,000 bbl/day.
