Taiwan’s FPCC September sales surges by 65%; petchem sales up 52.2%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) reported a 65% year-on-year rise in its September revenue to New Taiwan dollar (NT$) 78.9bn ($ 2.7bn) on the back of higher petrochemical sales, the company said on Thursday.

Petrochemicals accounted for 22.2% of the firm’s total revenue last month at NT$17.5bn, representing a 52.2% increase compared with the same period in 2011, according to the company’s website. 

For the first nine months of 2012, FPCC’s revenue grew by 8.8% year on year to NT$648.4bn, based on the data.
