LONDON (ICIS)--European October dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference prices rolled over on Friday at €1,025-1,066/tonne ($1,331-1,384/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), in line with upstream paraxylene (PX) and methanol prices.
The European October PX contract, a key feedstock for DMT, rolled over from September at €1,190/tonne FD NWE despite earlier indications that an increase may have been possible.
The fourth-quarter contract price for methanol, a secondary feedstock for DMT, also rolled over from the third to the fourth quarter at €340/tonne FOB (free on board) Rotterdam.
