HOUSTON (ICIS)--US September styrene contracts fully settled at 75.25-79.25 cents/lb ($1,659-1,747/tonne, €1,277-1,345/tonne), up by an average of 1.50 cents/lb from August following higher feedstock costs and tight supplies, according to trade participants on Friday.

The increase comes a week after initial US September styrene contracts settled at rollovers to increases of 2.50 cents/lb from August.

http://www.icis.comStyrene producers did not nominate any September prices increases, but cited higher prices in feedstock benzene, ethylene and natural gas during the month.

Producers have also come out with October styrene price increases, following the 20 cents/gal increase in the October benzene contract.

Major US styrene producers include Americas Styrenics, Styrolution, LyondellBasell, Total and Westlake.
