MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--US antifreeze-grade ethylene glycol (EGAF) spot barge values rose by 1-2 cents/lb ($22-44/tonne, €17-34/tonne) as the market was tight, sources said on Friday.

Spot barge values for EGAF were assessed higher at 54-60 cents/lb.

Tightness was not projected to change immediately and there was limited product available for export, sources said.

A rash of production issues along the US Gulf have tightened supply over the past weeks, according to buyers and sellers.

Major EG producers in the US include LyondellBasell, Huntsman, MEGlobal, Indorama, SABIC and Shell.
