China’s Rizhao Jiahong raises etac plant op rate to 100% capacity

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Rizhao Jiahong Biological Technology is running its 100,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) plant at Rizhao in Shandong province at 100% capacity after completing its minor maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The producer restored its etac output to full capacity on 15 October. It was running at a reduced rate of 60-70% capacity between 2 October and 14 October to allow pipeline connections to be carried out.
The maintenance was scheduled to coincide with the country’s National Day holiday on 1-7 October.
Other etac producers in China include Jiangmen Handsome Chemical Development, Shanghai Wujing Chemical and Shandong Jinyimeng Group.By: Trisha Huang
