SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China Sanjiang Fine Chemicals said on Thursday that it started construction of a 1.8m tonne/year methanol-to-olefin (MTO) plant at Jiaxing in ?xml:namespace>
The facility, which will be able to take in 1.8m tonnes of methanol each year, is expected to produce around 300,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 300,000 tonnes/year of propylene, said a company source.The project is owned by Zhejiang Xingxing New Energy Technology, in which China Sanjiang acquired a 75% interest in September, according to a statement from China Sanjiang.
