SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Dushanzi Petrochemical’s 30,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Urumqi is currently shut for maintenance that will last 10 days from 15 October, a company source said on Thursday.

The company also has a 180,000 tonne/year multiple-rubber plant at the site that is currently operating at 66% of capacity, the source said.

The multiple-rubber plant, consisting of four lines, produces low-cis polybutadiene rubber (LCBR), styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) and styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS), the source said.

The facilities are located at Dushanzi city in Xinjiang province, northwestern China.
