SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China's Shandong Mingrui Chemical shut its 100,000 tonne/year diammonium phosphate (DAP) plant in east China over the weekend of 20 October because of weak demand in the off season period, a company source said on Monday.
The restart date is not decided and it will be largely dependent on the demand situation in the domestic market, the source said.
“We expect that demand will recover in the second half of November,” the company source said, as some traders from northeast China will begin to make purchases after the China Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association conference in Shandong province on 9-11 November. By: Jody Pond
