Praxair China signs gas supply deal with Oxiranchem Yangzhou

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Praxair China said on Tuesday that it has signed a long-term contract with Oxiranchem Yangzhou to supply on-site industrial gases to the latter’s ethylene oxide (EO) and derivatives plants in Yangzhou of Jiangsu province.

Praxair China will construct an air separation plant with oxygen capacity of 500 tonnes/day at Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park to supply oxygen and nitrogen for Oxiranchem Yangzhou’s 200,000 tonne/year EO and 300,000 tonne/year derivatives project located at the same park, Praxair China said. 

The above facilities are expected to come on stream in 2014, according to the company.
