China’s Yangmei Hengtong to build Shandong MTO project in mid-Nov

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemical plans to build a 300,000 tonne/year methanol-to-olefins (MTO) project at Linyi in Shandong province, a company source said on Tuesday.

Construction work at the project in Shandong province is likely to start in mid-November this year and the target commissioning of the project is at the end of 2014, said the source, adding that the project is expected to produce 150,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 150,000 tonnes/year of propylene.

No further details on the units were provided.
