TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s Nippon Fine Chemical reported on Tuesday a 9.8% year-on-year increase in net profit during the April-September period to yen (Y) 474m ($6m).
Its net sales in the six months to 30 September fell by 8.2% to Y11.7bn, while operating profit rose by 13% to Y758m, the company said in a statement.
Its industrial products segment posted a 16% year-on-year decline in operating profit to Y511.0m, with net sales falling 7.4% to Y8.52bn, Nippon Fine Chemical said.
