Japan’s Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics restarts POM plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics restarted its 20,000 tonne/year polyacetal (POM) plant in Yokkaichi in end-October after completing its one month of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

However, the operating rate of the plant was not disclosed.

Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical and Mitsubishi Chemical.

POM is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts.
