HOUSTON (ICIS)--Braskem's polypropylene (PP) plant in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, remains down because of logistics problems caused by Hurricane Sandy, a company spokesperson said on Thursday.
The company took the 345,000 tonne/year PP unit down on Monday in preparation for the hurricane.
"While the plant sustained no damage during the hurricane, our transportation partners continue to experience challenges due to the weather," the spokesperson said.
The company is taking advantage of the downtime to complete planned maintenance, the spokesperson said.
