SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp started up its new residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) at its Dalin refinery on Tuesday, a company source said.
The RFCC can produce 400,000-450,000 tonnes/year of propylene.
The unit was able to produce chemical-grade propylene on Tuesday morning, the source said.
“We are expecting the polymer grade propylene to be achieved soon,” the source added.
Output from the new RFCC will be mainly for domestic customers, with the excess likely to be exported, the source said.
