TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s domestic shipments of polystyrene paper (PSP), or foamed PS sheets, in October totalled 8,430 tonnes, up by 4.2% month on month, according to industry data released on Friday.
On a year-on-year comparison, the country’s October shipments of PSP increased by 4.6%, data from the Japan Foamed Polystyrene Sheet Industry Association (JASFA) showed.
Of the total, foamed PS sheet shipments for general use rose by 2.7% to 1,530 tonnes from the previous month, and up by 15% year on year, the data showed.
Shipments for foamed PS sheets for use in roll trays fell by 9.1% month on month to 3,380 tonnes in October, but up by 4% year on year, according to the association.
