NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Thursday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: December WTI: $86.26/bbl, down 6 cents/bbl. December BRENT: $110.15/bbl, up 54 cents/bbl.
Brent crude held around $110/bbl as supply concerns following violence in the Middle East were offset by a slowing global economy.

NAPHTHA: $927-932/tonne, up $2/tonne
Assessed values firmed slightly alongside higher crude numbers. December swaps were assessed at $931-933/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,305-1,340/tonne, down $10-25/tonne
European spot benzene prices moved down on the back of losses in Asia and the US. December was valued at $1,300-1,330/tonne. No public deals were recorded.

STYRENE: $1,430-1,475/tonne, down $5-10/tonne
Traders described the styrene spot market as quiet and lower prices were recorded for November and December. Deals were reported at $1,500/tonne for November, $1,480/tonne for December and $1,500/tonne for January, but these looked to be done on Wednesday.
