SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Jiangsu Sabron Petrochemical is running its 100,000 tonne/year polystyrene (PS) unit at Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu province at 50% capacity after restarting it on 15 November, a company source said on Thursday.
The unit was shut around the middle of October because of Jiangsu Sabron was making losses as a result of high raw material costs, the source added.
Before the shutdown, the unit also was running at 50% capacity, according to the source.
The unit’s output will be available in the east China market by the week of 19 November, the distributor added.
The shutdown had little impact on the east China market, a local distributor said.
