TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s domestic shipments of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin rose by 6% to 20,328 tonnes in October from the previous month, official data from an industry association showed late on Monday.
Among total domestic shipments, 7,652 tonnes of ABS resin was used for automotives, a 5% month-on-month increase, according to Japan’s ABS resin industry association Nihon ABS Jushi Kogyokai.
Shipments for electric equipment increased by 12% to 2,448 tonnes from the previous month, the data showed.
The country’s exports of ABS resin was up by 4% to 11,356 tonnes in October from September, based on the statistics.
