SINGAPORE (ICIS)--DKSH has acquired Swiss specialty chemicals distributor Staerkle & Nagler for an undisclosed sum as part of a targeted expansion strategy, it said on Wednesday.
“This acquisition strengthens our position as a pan-European distributor and is helping us, parallel to our market leadership position in Asia, to strategically extend our network in ?xml:namespace>
“The Staerkle & Nagler product portfolio optimally suits our existing business operations, while simultaneously expands our network with first-rate suppliers,” he added.
Staerkle & Nagler distributes food additives and raw materials for the chemical industry. Its 2011 net sales were Swiss francs (Swfr) 20.2m ($21.5m).
Zurich-headquartered DKSH describes itself as a market expansion services provider, which helps other companies and brands to grow their business in new or existing markets. Its 2011 net sales were Swfr 7.3bn.
