SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures were largely unchanged on Tuesday, as spot physical prices fluctuated at a narrow range, industry sources said.
May 2013 LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 9,940/tonne ($1,956/tonne), up by CNY5/tonne from Monday’s settlement price of CNY9,935/tonne.
Some 353,794 LLDPE contracts for delivery in May 2013 were traded on Tuesday, according to the DCE data.
Spot domestic LLDPE prices in China were assessed at CNY10,600-11,000/tonne EXWH (ex-warehouse) on Tuesday, up by CNY50/tonne at the low end of the range, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
