SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s biggest refiner Sinopec is planning to process 59m tonnes (about 4.79m bbl/day) of crude in the first quarter of 2013, up by 6.5% year on year, a company source said on Friday.

That means the company’s refinery utilisation rate in that quarter is around 87% capacity.

The throughput is down by 500,000 tonnes or 0.8% from the 2012 fourth quarter as the outlook for the domestic oil product market remains gloomy, according to the source.
