China's BASF-YPC sets January ’13 maintenance at acrylates units

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's BASF-YPC Company Ltd plans to shut down its acrylic acid (AA) and acrylate esters units in Nanjing for three weeks of maintenance in January 2013, a company source said on Monday.

The company has a 160,000 tonne/year crude AA unit; a 60,000 tonne/year glacial AA unit; a 55,000 tonne/year methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate swing unit; and a 100,000 tonne/year butyl acrylate unit at the site.

BASF-YPC is a major supplier of AA and acrylate esters in China.
