HOUSTON (ICIS)--Two people have been sent to the hospital following the failure of a small sight glass at Valero's Memphis refinery in Tennessee on Monday morning, the company said.
Refinery operations have not been affected, and Valero expects no environmental impact.
The company did not give the status of the two people sent to the hospital.
"Trained emergency responders from both the refinery and local fire department arrived to handle the incident," the company said. "There was no explosion and no fire at the plant."
The incident remains under investigation, Valero said.
