China’s Ningbo Zhenyang shuts MIBK plant for maintenance

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Ningbo Zhenyang shut its 15,000 tonne/year methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) plant in Zhejiang province on Tuesday for a turnaround, a company source said.

The plant will stay off line for about seven days, the source said.

Ningbo Zhenyang’s MIBK plant was last shut for maintenance between 18 December 2011 and 12 January 2012.

Other MIBK makers in China include Jilin Petrochemical, Zhenjiang LCY General Chemical, Taizhou Petrochemical and Zhejiang Xinhua.
