HOUSTON (ICIS)--INVISTA plans to restart operations at its Victoria nylon intermediates plant in Texas after routine maintenance, during which there was no impact to operations, a company source said on Wednesday.

INVISTA had filed an emissions event report with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in advance of the restart procedures.

Because of the restart after the maintenance work, emission may occur at the plant, INVISTA said in the filing.

The TCEQ filing shows the emissions could take place from 1300 hours Victoria time (1900 GMT) 5 December through 1300 hours Victoria time 8 December.

The facility produces intermediates for nylon 6,6 production, according to ICIS plants and projects, such as adipic acid (ADA) and adiponitrile (ADP).

The INVISTA site has the capacity of producing 380,000 tonnes/year of ADA. The facility also has a capacity of 375,000 tonnes/year of ADP.
