CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazilian anti-monopoly agency Cade granted Cosan and Shell permission to create Raizen, long after the two companies created the joint venture, the regulator said on Wednesday.

In Brazil, such deals are announced long before they are approved or rejected by regulators.

Cosan and Shell announced Raizen in February 2011.
