SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals has bought a 25,000 tonne naphtha cargo for delivery to Chiba in the second half of January, traders said on Thursday.

The deal for the cargo was done at a premium of $14-15/tonne (€10.6-11.4/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

“They (Mitsui) start their CFR term (deliveries) from February, so there is always room for spot material in January,” one trader said.
