SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xinfengming Group has achieved on-spec semi-dull polyethylene terephthalate (PET) chips at its new 300,000 tonne/year polyester line at Tongxiang in Zhejiang province, a company source said on Wednesday.
The new polyester line was started up on 10 December and it is expected to produce fully drawn yarn (FDY) in March 2013, the source said.
Xinfengming Group has a total of five polyester lines, including the new 300,000 tonne/year line, at the same site now.
The producer’s combined capacity is 1.15m tonnes/year, according to data from Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
