HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories fell by 2% in the first week of December while operating rates at US refineries remained steady, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday.
US propylene inventories stood at 4.000m bbl in the week that ended on 7 December, down from 4.079m bbl a week earlier.
Refineries operated at 90.4% of capacity, down from 90.6% in the previous week, EIA data showed.
Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for November was bid at 49.50 cents/lb ($1,091/tonne, €840/tonne) on Wednesday with no offers. RGP traded last week at 49.00 cents/lb.
