LONDON (ICIS)--Foster Wheeler has won a $500m (€380m) contract for work to expand and upgrade two refineries in ?xml:namespace>
Foster Wheeler said under the deal with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) it will provide project management and consultancy (PMC) services to upgrade and raise the combined throughput capacity of
KNPC’s project – known as “Clean Fuels Project” – aims to increase conversion of fuel oil to higher value products in order to meet market demand and tighter specifications for sulphur content in transportation fuels, Foster said.
The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
