CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--The Brazilian government will likely increase gasoline prices in 2013, a government news agency said on Wednesday, citing a statement from finance minister Guido Mantega.

"The price will rise. There will be an increase in the right moment. If I knew it, I wouldn't say it, because it hits the market," Mantega said.

"But we can say that the price of oil in the international market may fall as well. This is a possibility. So we need to look at variables," he said.
