SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s largest refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy plans to restart its No1 fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) in Negishi, Japan around 25 December, a company source said on Friday.

“The plant will be restarted next week, around 25 December,” the source said.

The No 1 FCC, which can produce 85,000 tonnes/year of propylene, was shut on 20 October and was expected to restart in end November, according to an earlier story from ICIS.

The company’s No 2 residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) at the same site, which can produce around 85,000 tonne/year of propylene, is running normally, according to the source.
