S Korea’s LG Chem buys 25,000 tonnes naphtha for H1 Feb

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has bought a 25,000 tonne naphtha cargo for delivery in the first half of February, traders said on Wednesday.

The deal for the cargo was done at a premium of $15-16/tonne (€11-12/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

Open-spec first-half February contract closed sharply higher at $968-970/tonne CFR Japan on Wednesday, the highest since 7 November, according to ICIS data.
