LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Wednesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: February WTI: $92.66/bbl, up 84 cents/bbl. February BRENT: $111.69/bbl, up 58 cents/bbl
Crude oil futures gained after US lawmakers approved a deal to prevent automatic tax rises and spending cuts.

NAPHTHA: $936-938/tonne, down $1/tonne
The cargo range edged down as the effects of a softer crack spread overrode those of slightly firmer crude oil prices. February swaps were assessed at $928-930/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,515-1,530/tonne, range narrows
The spot range has narrowed for January. February was offered at $1,525/tonne but this was not met with any corresponding bids. No public deals were recorded.

January styrene traded at $1,725/tonne. February was pegged at $1,725-1,750/tonne.
