China's Yankuang Lunan new POM unit to start in March

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yankuang Lunan’s new 40,000 tonne/year polyacetal (POM) facility in Tenzhou city in Shandong province in eastern China will start up in March, a company source said on Thursday.

The source did not specify a particular date for the start up.

POM prices were assessed stable at $1,450-1,530/tonne (€1,116-1,178/tonne) FOB (free on board) NE (northeast) Asia and $1,480-1,540/tonne CIF (cost, insurance and freight) China on 08 January, according to ICIS.

Other Asian POM producers include  Polyplastics and Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics.

POM is an engineering plastic that goes in automobile parts.
