Europe epoxy resins January contracts roll over on poor demand

LONDON (ICIS)--European liquid and solid epoxy resins (LER and SER) January contracts have rolled over because of poor demand, sources said on Tuesday.

Producers would have liked to increase prices because of high feedstock costs but this was not possible as a result of slow demand.

The January LER contract price is €2,590-2,650/tonne ($3,453-3,533/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).

Most market participants said that it is unlikely demand will pick up any time soon and even the usual restocking has been much slower than usual.
