SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia’s PT Nippon Shokubai shut its 60,000 tonne/year crude acrylic acid (AA) plant in Cilegon, West Java, for scheduled maintenance earlier this week, a company source said on Wednesday.

The scheduled maintenance shutdown is expected to last for about 10 days, the source said.

Other key producers of crude AA in the region include Malaysia’s BASF PETRONAS Chemicals, Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp and South Korea’s LG Chem.
