In 2012, the company produced 76,600 tonnes of phenol, 17% up year on year, and 46,900 tonnes of acetone, or 15% up, SANORS said. Last year, it produced 59,700 tonnes of tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), the company said.
In October, SANORS started operation of its new 300,000 tonne/year TAME facility, which cost €18m ($24m).
And in August last year, the company approved a project to build a new facility to produce 70,000 tonnes/year of methyl methacrylate (MMA).
It also plans to build a major petrochemical complex in the Samara region of central Russia to produce up to 1m tonnes/year of polyolefins.
