HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Tuesday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Feb WTI: $96.24/bbl, up 68 cents; Mar Brent: $112.42/bbl, up 71 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures rose on booksquaring as the February WTI contract expired at the end of the session. Modest gains in the stock market and a weaker dollar also provided underlying support.

RBOB: Feb: $2.8299/gal, up 3.31 cents/gal
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures prices extended Friday’s gains, following the US holiday on 21 January. A higher crude oil settlement also caused RBOB to climb.

NATURAL GAS: Feb: $3.558/MMBtu, down 0.8 cent
US natural gas futures on the NYMEX ticked downward by less than one cent, after a rollercoaster trading day initially pushed the front month lower. A mixed weather forecast made for difficult demand predictions, keeping the curve slightly above and below flat.

ETHANE: higher at 26.5 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices rose, tracking the rally in crude and other energy commodities.

AROMATICS: toluene wider at $4.05-4.30/gal, mixed xylene wider at $4.25-4.45/gal
Prompt n-grade toluene and mixed xylene (MX) prices moved within a wider range, compared with Friday. January n-grade toluene prices grew further apart, as offers moved up compared with $4.05-4.20/gal FOB (free on board) the previous session. Meanwhile, January MX bids came down, compared with $4.25-4.45/gal FOB the previous session.

OLEFINS: ethylene offer up at 67.75 cents/lb, Feb PGP offer up at 77 cents/lb
US ethylene for January was offered up from deals done at 64.25-66.75 cents/lb last week against a 66 cent/lb bid. February polymer-grade propylene (PGP) was offered at 77 cents/lb with no bids. PGP for January traded last week at 72.25-74.00 cents/lb.
