SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Anqing expects its new 130,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) unit at Anqing city to produce on-spec material on 31 January after starting it up on 28 January, according to a statement published on Sinopec’s website.
The ACN unit, which has an investment of yuan (CNY) 1.1bn ($177m), is slated to achieve on-spec product in end-January after coming onstream, Sinopec said.
The producer also owns a separate 80,000 tonne/year ACN plant and a 70,000 tonne/year acrylic fibre (AF) unit at the same site in Anhui province, east China.
