HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Q4 mixed xylene (MX) production was up slightly compared with the same time a year ago, according to data released by the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) on Thursday.
Q4 MX production in 2012 was at 336m gal, up by 3% from 328m gal the fourth-quarter of 2011.
Q4 MX production was also up by 24% from 272m gal from the previous quarter.
On the year, MX production totalled 1.2bn gal, slightly up by 2% from 2011.
AFPM did not report inventories for Q4.
Companies offering information for the survey included Amerada Hess, BP Chemicals, Citgo Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Flint Hills Resources, Marathon Petroleum, Shell Chemical and Total Petrochemicals.
