Czech Unipetrol sees gains in January polyolefin, olefin margins

LONDON (ICIS)--Unipetrol’s model polyolefin margin improved to €252/tonne ($341/tonne) in January from €228/tonne in December 2012 and compared with the €203/tonne recorded in January 2012, the Czech petrochemical producer said on Wednesday.

The company’s model olefin margin rose to €399/tonne in January from €377/tonne in the previous month and €237/tonne in January of last year, it added.

Unipetrol is a 63%-owned subsidiary of Poland’s PKN Orlen, which reported its own improved petrochemical margins on Tuesday.
