NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Wednesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.
CRUDE: March WTI: $96.01/bbl, down 63 cents/bbl. March BRENT: $116.28/bbl, down 24 cents/bbl
Futures prices were trading below the previous session’s close during the morning session, however, prices remain near recent highs following the release of positive economic data from the US and Europe.
NAPHTHA: $961-976/tonne, down $1/tonne
The cargo range edged down from Tuesday afternoon as the effects of lower crude oil prices overrode those of a stronger crack spread. March swaps were assessed at $948-950/tonne
BENZENE: $1,410-1,425/tonne, up $5/tonne
February opened firmer this morning as the Asian market saw an upturn late in the day. March was valued flat with February.
STYRENE: $1,720-1,740/tonne, up $5/tonne
February moved up in tandem with benzene, with buying interest for the current month subdued. March remained in contango at $1,740-1,755/tonne following deals yesterday at $1,745/tonne and $1,750/tonne.
